"Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:6
IN JESUS TODAY!
Now we ought to say with passion, We are never absent from the Lord, or The Lord is always with us, and will never leave us or forsake us! These are all true! In faith we are never absent from the Lord, but the reason why we are not absent is our faith, as it is written, "For we walk by faith and not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7 Now this absence recorded here is that we are still in this body even though many are willing rather to be absent from the body than to absent from Jesus, still it is our faith that brings us together and allows us to never be absent from Jesus in spirit. You see friend, God is spirit, as it is written, "God is a spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." John 4:24 Therefore we can say in faith, We are present with Jesus and he is always with us. One day we will leave this body and live with Jesus completely 24/7 without the troubles of this temporal life and all the things that we currently see, and we will then live our eternal life with him as promised, seeing all that we are currently unable to see, save through faith. Our faith takes away the absence from the Lord and makes it possible for us to see him and our faith becomes the evidence of all that we have hoped for. This is what faith is, as it is written, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1 Therefore we are, in faith, present with the Lord as we walk in the spirit with him, as it is written, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit." Romans 8:1, Because of our faith we are in spirit, never absent from the Lord, but without our faith in Jesus it is not possible to be present with him. "So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God." Romans 8:8
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6 Have faith in God and walk with him! The presence of the Lord is by faith, not by feeling!
