"And the king shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Mathew 25:40
IN JESUS TODAY!
Isn't it a terrible feeling when you have simply wanted to do good for someone, and others claim that you are doing it for self-gain or some other mixed up motive? It just makes you want to stop doing good sometimes! What will comfort our heart when these things happen? Knowing that our heart means only good, regardless of what others think, is it our only comfort? No this is not our only comfort, we do have much more than that, our greater comfort is in Jesus! What we do for others is also done for Jesus, knowing this will help us when we feel like quitting because of other people's negative actions toward us. We can keep going from day to day, and continue doing for others, when we know that all is being done unto Jesus. Of course our hearts hurt when others do not know that we mean to do good or when evil people with evil intents try to use our good against us, but we must remember that Jesus knows and is working it all unto our good. As it is written, "Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Mathew 5:10 And again we must not allow our hearts to remain saddened by others who do us wrong, as it is written, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." John 14:1 and, "Fret not yourself over evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity, for they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb." Psalm 37:1,2 Think it not strange when these things are done to us, as we read, "Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake." Mathew 5:11
Friend life happens both good and bad, as difficult as it can be sometimes, we are to look past difficulty and turn unto Jesus. Counting struggle as a blessing and continuing to do good is sometimes the hardest thing to do, but when we do, God is with us each time!
