"And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." Luke 11:9
IN JESUS TODAY!
One, Two, Three in that order, step by step. Step one: Ask, not demand, but verbally request as a child would request of a mother or father, with respect, and in faith believing. Step two: Seek, that is get the feet moving and the eyes searching, not sitting and waiting for it to fall from the sky into the lap, but rather moving towards it, and Step three: Knock, this is making noise through action, pressing into the door that stands between us and our desire, and moving things out of the way so that an entrance can be made! It shall be given when we find and when we access what has been opened unto us. If we should order an item, that is asking, but do we get it without going to the mailbox to receive it, and then when we get to the mailbox will it come out without opening the door? First we must ask, and then seek for it, and then open the door to retrieve it! Too often one will ask, beginning with their verbal request unto God, but that's it! We need to continue with actions that show God our intentions and our faith through our works, and then concluding this by receiving what we have asked for, removing the door that stands in the way with thanks unto God.
One. Two, Three, is actually three separate moves, a process that only begins with a request made in faith, and ends with a pressing in towards our desire. Don't take step one only, without steps two and three, or any combination of these that is without the other, these three must work together, ask, seek, and knock! What shall we ask and then not seek? or seek and then not open the door when it comes to us? Or shall we expect from God by simply knocking and not asking first?
