"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Mathew 11:29, 30
IN JESUS TODAY!
In life there are heavy burdens and light burdens, and of these two you will find a consistent difference, for the heavy burdens they are heavy because these burdens are created by man, carried by man, worried over by man, and complained of by man because of man's refusal to accept help to bear this burden. Of the burdens that are light, these burdens are light because more than one person carries them, they are not worried over because others are helping to carry them, and they are not complained about because they are given over to God and accepted as a blessing.
Yes, that's right, a burden can be a blessing!
You might ask, "What kinds of trouble, what kinds of sorrow, or what kinds of burdens can be blessings? The answer is simple, any that challenge us to accept help from God by casting these upon him, as it is written, "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." Psalm 55:22 A blessed burden is a burden that draws us closer to God, it is a burden that calls the spiritual person to assist another to carry it, as it is written, "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the Law of Christ." Galatians 6:2 When we accept help from others our burdens become light and a light burden is a blessed burden, these burdens are the ones that build relationships, they are the ones that cause us to look beyond ourselves.
Choose ye this day a heavy burden by doing it all yourself, or choose ye this day a light burden by asking God and others to help!
