"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth." Mathew 5:3-5
IN JESUS TODAY!
There are nine categories of blessings in what is known as the Beatitudes or the Sermon on the Mount in Mathew 5. Nine times you will read "Blessed are", now of these nine can you find yourself in at least one of these, for example, "Blessed are the poor in spirit" "Blessed are those that mourn" "Blessed are the meek" and so on all the way unto the ninth "Blessed Be which is found in verse eleven. Can you find yourself in at least one of these?
WE ARE ALL BLESSED…
If you can find how you are blessed, which I am sure that Jesus has covered everyone here and has not missed anyone, so that no one person can say, "what about me?" Jesus never leaves anyone out, he is all inclusive, so surely from these nine Blessed Be listed here, you can find your place, and when you do you will see what Jesus says about you being blessed. After we have found ourselves here and discover that we are blessed, Jesus gives us instructions for the next thing that we are to do, in Mathew 5:12 Jesus has given us instructions to,
"Rejoice and be exceedingly glad!" Mathew 5:12
Do you know how to rejoice and be exceedingly glad? I admit that sometimes during our struggles this seems nearly impossible until we are reminded of how we are blessed! Although some people have never tried being glad and others are too afraid of what someone will think if they should, still we need to let go of our fears and learn how to rejoice!
Rejoice and be exceedingly glad! Sing and shout the victory! Sing aloud and tell all of the great things that Jesus has done! You are blessed! When someone should ask how are you today? Simply answer by saying,
"I am blessed!" and read to them one of these nine blessings found here in Mathew 5:3-11
