"And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw aught. And he looked up and said, I see men as trees walking." Mark 8:23, 24
IN JESUS TODAY!
Upon our first encounter with Jesus early on we may not see things clearly, in fact it may be hurtful in the beginning because some may consider us to be a novice, we might see things as we never saw them before, but they may not be clear to us yet. This is what happened here to this blind man, he began to walk with Jesus, he was blind and needed Jesus to lead him by the hand, so Jesus led him out of the way in which he was in, but when Jesus healed him from his blindness, he began to see, but beginning to see does not complete us. We must keep going with Jesus and allow him to continue the work that he started in us, we do see, but it is blurry and not clear yet.
This man stated, "I see men as trees walking." He saw for the first time in his life, but he didn't see clear. Men looked like trees and not as men should. Do we see things clear? How can we? We must allow this healing process to continue, Jesus continues the process here, this man's healing continued, "After that he put his hands upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored and saw every man clearly." Mark 8:25 So the man that was once blind had to allow the process to continue so that he could see clearly, we also have to continue in God's word so that we can see clearly. Maturity comes from walking through, praying through, and continuing through with Jesus.
"If you continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed." John 8:31 Continue with Jesus until you see it clearly! Let Jesus complete his healing work in your life!
