"For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds." Hebrews 12:3
IN JESUS TODAY!
Consider Jesus today! Choose Jesus today! Whose example shall we follow? Whose way shall we choose? Joshua had an idea, as it is written, "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15 Ah! choices! We all have choices to make, and Joshua made his. Today, Jesus is asking all to consider him as their choice of whom they will follow, when we look to Jesus our minds are strong and clear! Joshua made this decision clear stating, "whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood." In other words, what side shall we stand on? On the other side of the flood? Where death certainly came? Where do you stand? On the other side of the flood in Egypt with the Pharoah the people died, but with the Lord, Joshua, and the people of Israel, the people lived! With Jesus the people live for eternity! Now consider Jesus, and how our choice for him might have us standing, seemingly alone, while so many others, (sinners) are lined up against us in the streets, in the work place, or even in the market places, staring, mocking, and shaking their heads in shame or disgust, because of our decision to follow Jesus! That's how it might be, and that's how it was for Jesus! Many people stood on the sides, lined up against him, mocking him, while they watched him carry his cross to be crucified for all to see!
YET HE LIVED! AND HE LIVES TODAY!
Jesus rose from the grave and lives today. All those on the other side of the flood are no more! The choice is clear, choose Jesus and live, choose life eternal with Jesus! or, Choose to be liked by the crowds that have rejected him and choose death, and the things that lead to it. Who's way will you choose?
