"A good man showeth favor, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion." Psalm 112:5
IN JESUS TODAY!
Discretion, the ability to be discreet. What does it mean to be discreet? Being discreet is exercising caution and self-restraint, thinking before taking action, and actually seeing ahead the possible outcome that may come by taking action. A good man showth favor and lendeth, he is wise and and discreet about his lending, about who he gives favor to knowing that he must be a good steward of all that God gives to him and he must be wise about who it is that he is dealing with. The opposite of discretion is to act suddenly, abrupt, without consideration of the outcome. A good man acts with modesty, and it is that a person who has discretion has the power or ability to judge a matter with fairness, with modesty and good will. A good and wise person will manage theirs affairs not for his own gain and glory, but will seek the benefit of others. They will extend their hand out in love without letting everyone know all that they have done for others, they will seek to heal the hurting not letting their left hand know what the right hand has done, knowing announcing their good deeds so that they will obtain a reward for themselves. As we read,
"But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again, and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be children of the highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil." Luke 6:35
