"And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in the darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee." Deuteronomy 28:29
IN JESUS TODAY!
What a horrible day this would be, and all brought on because of disobedience. You see friend, there is no escape from the punishment for disobedience, as it is written, "for if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation?" Hebrews 2:3 To grope at noonday as the blind gropeth in the darkness, to only see blackness that is so dark that one cannot see even their own hand in front of them, what a horrible feeling of panic and fear this would be! This is the curse unto those that do not believe and for those that refuse to obey God's word. Question? Does Jesus desire to punish us? No, this is not his desire, what he delights in is obedience, as it is written, "And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold to obey is better than sacrifice and to hearken than the fat of rams." 1 Samuel 15:22 Now, if a person will obey God's word, there is blessings for their obedience and no longer punishment!
As we read, "And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto thy Lord God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth." Deuteronomy 28:1
