"He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come." Luke 19:12, 13
IN JESUS TODAY!
Occupy till I come. The word occupy means to take possession of. This nobleman was supplying the needs to his servants so that they could take possession of the land. While he went away to a far country, he expected that his servants took possession of and live life as possession holders until he returned. The familiar song, "This land is your land, this land is my land, from California to the New York Island. From the Redwood forest, to the gulf stream waters. This land was made for you and me!" this song is true! This land is our land we are to take possession of it and maintain it until Jesus returns. Jesus is returning! "Occupy till I come" tells us that a return will be. Jesus is this great Nobleman that went to the Kingdom of Heaven, that far country, but not to stay, but rather to prepare a place for you and I.
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you." John 14:1, 2 Jesus is busy preparing a place for us in heaven, but while he is gone, take possession of this land and occupy it until he returns.
