“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report.” Hebrews 11:1, 2
IN JESUS TODAY!
Faith is material, it is tangible, we can see it, and touch it. Faith is evident and obvious. It’s the things that we hope for and rest our convictions on. The “not yet seen” part of faith must be a manifestation of evidence that supports what we believe. Love is the evidence that we believe. Is there evidence? Then there is faith!
“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” James 2:17
Works then is the evidence of our faith and the evidence of things not yet seen, but hoped for! Works are tangible, we can see them, touch them, and they are clear and obvious. How do we know that we have faith? Our works of love prove it! The substance of our faith is the works of love that we do.
CAN YOU SEE YOUR FAITH? IS IT ALIVE?
“For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.” Galatians 5:6
Works of love are faith in action! We need to be active in our faith, dealing our bread out to the hungry, and helping the hurting, encouraging the downcast, and sharing the Gospel of peace to as many as possible!
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, EVEN OUR FAITH!” 1John 5:4
ACTS OF LOVE ARE YOUR FAITH ALIVE!
