"Therefore brethren, we are comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith: for now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord." 1 Thessalonians 3:7, 8
IN JESUS TODAY!
See here, contrary to the opinions shared by some believers and non-believers alike, not all rewards are monetary. Often many have used the work of God for selfish monetary gain, but true gain and heart desire is that God's people are blessed by what we do, that they should grow in faith, that they should be able to stand fast in the Lord, and that their faith should remain unto the return of Jesus! For the workers of the Lord, the truest form of reward is to know of the faith, of those that they have shared with along the way. To know that their efforts have been blessed and are appreciated by God's children, to know that God is blessed above all, and that the Kingdom of God continues to increase and bless others, this is by far the greatest reward of a true servant of God. Here we read how Paul, along with his beloved Christian family and friends, were suffering intense and extreme afflictions, and his greatest concern, and finally his greatest comfort was to know that all of his work had not been in vain, and that there were still many that stood fast in faith and continued to walk with Jesus! This was always his heart's desire, as we read, "Brethren my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved." Romans 10:1
So now, I ask you, what more shall we do this work for? There is no greater gain than this, if you are a worker for Jesus consider this, there is no greater reward in all of heaven and all of the earth, no greater than that a soul that you have won to the Lord be found steadfast in faith, and to have remained unto the end! Do not let our labor be in vain, O Lord! Vanity has been set aside for selfish gain, let us not settle for this, but rather let our work for the Lord last for eternity!
