"For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision." Galatians 2:12
IN JESUS TODAY!
Did you know the word Two-Faced is actually in the dictionary as one word? Well, here we are, "A Christian." Maybe we are a new Christian or maybe we have been a Christian for years upon years and we have forgotten that we are Christian, and what that means. To follow Jesus, to be like Jesus, to be the hands and feet of Jesus, His Ambassadors, His representatives, and examples to the world where we live, this is who we are and this is Christian!
JUST ONE MORE THING…
There is another word in the dictionary that is a complete word and not separated into two or more words and that word is Tug-of-war. Tug-of-war is a trial of strength between two parties tugging at opposite ends of a rope. Both Two-faced and Tug-of-war have this in common, they fight for who shall be standing in the end! The idea of being insincere and double-dealing with God and with people is not what Jesus approves of and it is not what He teaches. What Jesus is, teaches, and instructs us to be, is the same, not forgetting who we are in the face of others. Jesus himself is always steadfast. As it is written,
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8.
In Galatians chapter two, Paul confronted Peter because he was two-faced. Our example is always being watched and people are smart, they don't like insincerity and those that say one thing in the mirror and do another the minute they leave to present themselves to others is being Two-faced!
In this Tug-of-war that fights for our identity remember that we are Christians and that we will never be Two-faced! Even in the face of a Tug-of War! We are…
PROUD TO BE A CHRISTIAN!
