"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days, scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the Fathers fell asleep all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation." 2Peter 3:3, 4
IN JESUS TODAY!
Where is the promise of his coming? They say, For since the Fathers fell asleep it's been this way. From day to day, he time is not our time, A thousand years are a moment, and a moment's not a year in his time. When you look to the sky you will see just how Jesus said everything will be. Oh, the day of the Lord will come, when the righteous prevail and be joined with God's son. This same attitude existed in Noah's day, there were scoffers, unbelieving, and perishing in their unbelief, "Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished." 2Peter 3:6 No one could imagine the, and many people can't believe this now, but "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness, but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord shall come as a thief in the night..." 2Peter 3:9,10a
Jesus is coming, just because he is acting in his perfect time so that ALL will have the chance to repent and return unto him, that doesn't make his promise void. At the cross he paid the price to redeem us, and when he returns, as it is written, "Beloved now are we sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him: for we shall see him as he is." 1John 3:2
