"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Isaiah 1:18
IN JESUS TODAY!
One way or another God will have a righteous people, herein he is appealing to us all to come to him and repent of sin, to come and reason this thing out, and to stop insane behaviors that are harmful in our lives. Either we will come to God and seek his forgiveness or, as we read further we find, "But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it." Isaiah 1:20 God is not so harsh that he has become a bloodthirsty God, he doesn't stand in waiting to extend his wrath upon his children, he is simply trying to reason with us to come to him and cease all sinful behavior, behavior that is harmful to many. God wants to forgive, he wants to cleanse us so that we can walk in purity and righteousness, listen to what God has said, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1John 1:9 God wants us to be spotless, he wants our conscience to be clean, white as snow, where there is no guile, where there is freedom, no slavery or entanglements to slow us down or hinder us from coming to him in fellowship. The greatest desire that God has is that we draw near to him and enjoy with him sweet conversations, but sin separates us from him. God cannot look upon sin, and has to turn his back upon us when we have sin in our life!
Therefore, God is pleading with his children to come and reason with him about these matters, to listen to what he has to say to them, and to take part in his forgiveness and love. It is for our benefit that we turn to him and enjoy this love. Jesus wants to walk with you and to talk with you today!
