NEITHER BE YE DOUBTFUL!
“And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of a doubtful mind.” Luke 12:29
AS MEN OF HONOR:
In today’s world it may seem impossible to trust, that being the case it is normal for most to be suspicious, wavering in love as the heart waxes cold, and living out a dog eat dog attitude. With God it is not so, only with man do we find such a bending of character. God tells us, in fact he warns us, not to be like the world in these matters, as we read,
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?
For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And I will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 2Corinthians 6:14-17
As Christians we desire to have a servant’s heart and serve all peoples, yet we are instructed to not be like the world…
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove: What is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12:2
So what is the root of all of this behavior? Behavior that causes us to not trust?
It is doubt! We often doubt God’s ability to keep us through it all! He is our protector, and our provider, he instructs us in these things so that we are safe.
There is no need to take on the behaviors of the world, to surrender to their ways, so that we may feel more secure. We are called to “TRUST GOD IN ALL OF OUR WAYS!”
“So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Hebrews 13:6
