“For as yet they did not know the Scripture that he must rise again from the dead.” John 20:9
AS MEN OF HONOR:
During the final stages of the Germination process, (Germination is the process by which a plant grows from a seed.) we see that similar to Christ’s resurrection there is a removing of the stone, or soil, that has kept the seed from coming forth, like at a well of water or a grave site the stone or soil must be rolled away so that new beginnings can spring forth. As we see also in John 20:1 and Genesis 29:10 as we read,
“The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.” John 20:1
“And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother's brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mother's brother.” Genesis 29:10
First in John 20:1 we find that Mary found the stone taken away, and was totally surprised by this, just as we also are surprised on that beautiful spring morning when we find a new plant has suddenly sprung forth from the earth. The seeds that we plant in life attend to a process called Germination. It seems for a time that nothing is happening, yet suddenly we are surprised to see what God has done!
In the same way also Jesus came forth as a fountain of life, little did they realize how huge this would be, and how Jesus would be for all a well of salvation for all who come to Him in faith. As we read,
“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” 1Corinthians 2:9
How surprising is this? That we shall find the stone rolled away, and not only the stone or the soil will be rolled away, but from this we shall find new life spring forth, bursting through in the most dramatic way, as it is with every new life! New comforts, great aromas, and thrilling new colors of life for all who are found seeking. The seed has been planted, the process of Germination has started, and soon a new gift to the world shall emerge! What a glorious discovery!
For all that are faithful to wait, they shall reap a wonderful reward! To be diligent day after day, busy in planting, faithful in tending to the soil, and steadfast at watering the seed with prayer they will be the first to see God’s grace as the seed breaks forth and arises again as a new and wonderful creation! This is the seed that has been planted in your heart! Your life transformed into a beautiful flower! The aroma of righteousness reaching out to greet the world, and the sweetness of grace within you embraces all that surrounds you. You are a new creation, created in Christ Jesus, as we read,
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 1 Corinthians 5:17
Now the soil is rolled away, now you shall come forth to bless the world, as in the early spring morning you are anxious once again to meet and greet all who are willing and to share with them the source of your joy!
You are set free to Rise Again!
