A CHANGE OF ADDRESS!
I heard an old, old story, How a Savior came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary, to save a wretch like me;
I heard about His groaning, Of His precious blood’s atoning,
Then I repented of my sins, and won the victory.
O victory in Jesus, My Savior, forever.
He sought me and he bought me, With His redeeming blood.
He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory, beneath the cleansing flood.
I heard about His healing, Of His cleansing power revealing.
How He made the lame to walk again, and caused the blind to see;
And then I cried, Dear Jesus, Come and heal my broken Spirit,
And somehow Jesus came and brought, to me the victory.
I heard about a mansion, He has built for me in glory.
And I heard about the streets of gold, beyond the crystal sea;
About the angels are singing, and the old redemption story,
And some sweet day I’ll sing up there, the song of victory!
Now shall our conversations be of the victory in Jesus! No more sorrow, no more crying, no more death, and no more dying! As we read,
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4
A CHANGE OF ADDRESS!
So we know that death is associated with pain, sorrow, loss, sadness, and grief, but rarely do we associate death with victory, yet death is a victory for us who are in Christ Jesus and have surrendered unto Him the things of this world in exchange for a better world to come. If we shall consider the skills needed for this lifetime and the battles that we engage in, we will consider them because we desire to endure unto the end, whereby we shall obtain this victory, even in death, as we read,
“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Mathew 24:13
This is the victory of death, over our flesh, over our pride, and over the lust for the things of this world. For years we live in a state of war with the troubles of our life, with the enemies if you will of our soul, yet we strive to be more than overcomers. By the grace of Jesus we endure all that our enemies throw at us, living life from one victory unto the next, and along the way we occasionally get knocked down only to get back up again and to run to Jesus for His mercy and for more of His grace that enables us to regain our strength for yet another day. Still when we set our mind on things above, when our mind and heart is stayed upon Jesus we see that we are enduring towards the end and that it is by this endurance through faith that we shall have this ultimate victory and that we shall receive this prize of His high calling through Christ Jesus, and that no one will ever be able to take this away from us! In the Kingdom of Heaven, where we will live with Jesus forever, there shall be no attempt to steal, or to kill, or to destroy made against us ever again! We shall live with Jesus in Peace, and in joy, and in victory for eternity! Our new home, our new address, and our new life with Jesus!
Incorruptible! Unchangeable! Undeniable! This is Truth that cannot be taken away!
EXCERPT FROM SKILL FOR THE BATTLE!
