AT THE CROSS THERE IS A DOOR!
“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and go in and out, an find pasture.” John 10:9
AT HIS TABLE
For the longest time I have tried to put my finger on the greatest difference between the faith full and the lukewarm Christian, and finally I see it a bit more. The faith full is exactly this, those that are full of faith, and why are they full of faith? Simply because every day they approach the Cross of Jesus and enter in through this door. It is inside this door that we will find God’s wisdom vs. man’s understanding. For example, A person with a worldly diagnosis of Cancer certainly can be helped by the understanding of man, but can only be healed by the wisdom of God. God sends his word quickly and they are healed, man gives his understanding in his best intentions and they are comforted some.
THERE IS A MIGHTY DIFFERENCE…
At the cross we lay our burdens down before our God, it is at His cross that we are washed and cleansed of our sin. So why lay our burdens down? And why are we to be washed and cleansed? And why is all of this to happen at the cross of crucifixion? To answer these we must understand that God is preparing us to enter in through that door, the same door that if we should enter in our whole life will change for eternity, and the way in which we see things will become more heavenly and less worldly. Paul had this when he stated,
“To live is Christ, but to die is gain.”
This statement goes against every worldly idea of the pursuit of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that the world has taught us from our childhood. God is preparing us to enter into a heavenly understanding and to leave behind this worldly way or leaven of the teachers that have manipulated our minds throughout our life.
So, Is there such a thing as “Too Heavenly Minded to be any Earthly good?” No, but there is such a thing as “Too Earthly minded to be any Heavenly good!”
Today there is a choice, will you be full of faith and be faith full and enter in through the door at His cross, or will you choose to remain lukewarm, comfortable, and highly educated by this worlds teachings?
CHOOSE YOU THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE!
