Recently I spoke with a person that wrote poetry, it was really good stuff, but they explained to me that they were discouraged because too many things were standing in the way of success. I asked what things?
They cited time, finances, scoffers, and fear of copyright infringements. These things matter, but how much do they matter? Enough to make us quit? Are there ways around these obstacles, have we prayed?
God wants to give us our heart’s desire!

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19
I received an email recently from Africa that questioned why God doesn't answer prayer when you have a need and have asked him several times. While reading this email I could feel the hurt that came from their heart. God never desires that our heart hurts because we feel our needs aren't being met. The book of Proverbs tells us, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick." Proverbs 13:12 If we feel that our needs haven't been met, does that make God a liar? No Way! God is not a man that he should lie. So why then do we seem to have needs that aren't met? First we need to look at our expectations, God's will, and if we are asking amiss. Are our expectations in line with God's will? Are we asking correctly or do we ask amiss as it is suggested in the Book of James 4:3?
Sometimes we ask God for things, but are in need of patience. Sometimes we ask God for a need to be met without having the strength in faith to believe that he is able to do what he has promised. And sometimes we ask God for things that we feel is a need, but really may not be. It may not come to us in our timing, but it will always come to us in God's perfect time. God always answers prayer. His answers are "Yes, No, and Wait." He will always supply our need though, if we don't have it yet, it's on the way, or we don't really need it like we think.
Our timing for success may not be the right time, but never give up!
