TO ABBIE: YOUR QUESTION ABOUT ANGER IS NOT WITHOUT MERIT. THERE IS GREAT VALUE IN ANGER. HOWEVER WE ARE INSTRUCTED TO BE ANGRY, BUT SIN NOT! IS THIS POSSIBLE? OF COURSE IT IS. THIS IS MORE ABOUT CONTROL, A CONTROLLING OF OUR ANGER. IT IS NOT A SIN TO BE ANGRY ONLY THAT WE CONTROL OUR ANGER AND RESPOND APPROPRIATELY TO THOSE THAT HAVE CAUSED THIS ANGER TO COME ABOUT. ALWAYS BE SLOW TO ANGER, NEVER ALLOWING A HARSH REACTION TO PULL US INTO SIN. ALWAYS TRUST GOD TO INTERVENE. THIS SHOULD BE OUR CHARACTER.
“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.” James 1:19, 20
“He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.” Proverbs 16:32
“For we know Him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge His people.” Hebrews 10:30
