"By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went." Hebrews 11:8
OUR CHALLENGE TODAY!
This is a very interesting scripture because it leads us to presume that if we act in faith God will lead us to where he wants us to go! Is this foolishness? Foolishness is not obeying God! Abraham was told to do something and although he did not know the plan and all of the details, he obeyed God. We will not always know the plan, we will not always be told the details, and we will have to deal with the fears of not knowing if we are going to obey God. Obedience is better than sacrifice, what will we sacrifice to obey? Well at the onset we sacrifice personal security maybe, until we totally rest in the fact that God has our back. It is not foolish to trust God, it is not foolish to step out in faith even when you don’t know all things or have a comfortable seat to sit in. Just obey God and it will be settled!
“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.” Deuteronomy 28:1
