IT’S IN THE SMILE!
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance; against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22
AT HIS TABLE:
Did you know that your smile reveals many things about you? The most important thing that it often reveals is your relationship with God and God’s presence in your life. A smile can reveal unselfish concern for others, the desire of a heart to spread joy into a darkened or saddened world, it can be an act of kindness towards someone who is hurting, or it can relay a simple message of peace that welcomes a stranger into your world.
KINDNESS IS GOODNESS AND IT IS HEALTHY FOR LIFE…
In a simple smile there is so much power to heal a hurting soul,
In a smile we find kindness, goodness, gentleness, love, and joy, all of the fruits of the Spirit that invites a troubled soul to come as they are and accept a new friend, or a helping hand. A smile is all that is needed most times to calm another person’s anger, and to bring peace into an otherwise difficult situation. As we read,
“Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21
When we share kindness with others we are overcoming many things in life, we are overcoming difficulties, distractions, negativity, any attempts to pull us into wrong thinking, and we have power to perform all that we desire, or that is required from us each day. Our good attitude allows us to prevail!
It is a fact that when we walk in the Spirit of God we cannot prevent ourselves from sharing a kind smile with our neighbor, or from reaching out in kindness unto a stranger, leaving them wondering why, or standing in awe of the power of God.
All of this because we are in the Spirit of God and we are filled with God’s love towards others. They can see Jesus in us as they see our kindness towards them. Joy is contagious and kindness is healing!
With this understanding it is more than a task to withhold a smile, it then becomes hard work!
