" That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death." Philippians 3:10
OUR CHALLENGE TODAY!
Herein we find two ingredients that when stirred together continuously throughout a willing person’s life, it will produce a life of the same form as that of our Lord and King, Jesus Christ. These two ingredients work together in a balancing act that only God himself can perform to perfection. A little too much here or too little there throws the completed reproduction into a state of flaw and thereby must be pulled and reworked unto perfection. For example, too much fellowship of his sufferings and too little of his power of resurrection could leave us potentially broken, and too much power of his resurrection with too little fellowship of his sufferings could cause us to be inflated beyond our true ability. To know Jesus and to become like him is to accept the right measure of both, the fellowship of his suffering and his resurrection power, how often we hear of this resurrection power and how little we hear of this fellowship of suffering. Suffering as Jesus suffered is a vital part of a true Christian’s life, and to experience God's resurrection power from all of life's difficulties is necessary to continue living. He will give us the right measure of both! God is a perfect creator!
“And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” Luke 24:49
