"And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it." Luke 19:41
OUR CHALLENGE TODAY!
Recently I met a woman and her daughter at a local store, and as usual, there were several tabloid magazines at the counter area, one of which caused the daughter to say to me, "they should not be allowed to do that!" referring to a celebrity's lifestyle choice. Truth be told, the Homosexual lifestyle is spoken about in the Bible as being an abomination unto God (Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1). Her expression caught me off guard for a minute, my mind started racing having so many things to say, but could only say God bless you as they departed. Of the emotions that I had, one was that of excitement for her zeal for righteousness, but shortly thereafter I was in sorrow, sorry she had to see this, sorry that they were caught up in this sin, and sorry that Jesus has reason to weep.
Since we all sin and fall short, let's all tell Jesus we are sorry for our sins today, he is faithful to forgive.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1John 1:9)
THIS DAY IN DEVOTION:
God loves us, it’s in his tears!
