“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20
AT HIS TABLE!
This is an absolute surrender, we give our life away in exchange for a new life, whereby Jesus lives in and through us. All that we do, and all that we say now has its motivation and purpose in Him, and all of this begins and is executed by Him, our master and Lord, even Jesus Christ, our greatest love! God never forces us to surrender and follow Him, but our willing surrender comes out of our true love for Him. If surrender was forced upon us then our love would come out of a fearful and unwilling heart. For us to say, as it has been written here,
“I am crucified with Christ!”
For us to say this a question follows, Is this our point of surrender?” What does it mean to have an absolute surrender? It means exactly this, to be crucified with Christ! This also means that we, our old self, with its old nature no longer lives, because when Jesus actually lives in and through us there is no room for our old life, it has been pushed out of our life! Now we are new and have a new life, whereby Jesus lives in us, old things are passed away, and all things have become new!
“It is no longer I that lives, but Christ that lives in me.”
Now we live by faith, and we walk by faith, we no longer live to fulfill the desires of the flesh, and we no longer walk according to all that we see! Furthermore, we put down every imagination that exalts itself against the truth of God’s word!
NOW WE ARE SURRENDERED WILLINGLY AND COMPLETELY TO JESUS OUR LOVE!
