“And she said unto her mistress, would that my lord were with the prophet that was in Samaria! Then would he recover him of his Leprosy! 2Kings 5:3
AT HIS TABLE:
When it is talked about having a voice to make a difference oftentimes we refer to such great voices as John the Baptist or even Jesus who were found saying great things such as, “Repent ye for the Kingdom of Heaven has come near”, or “Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight the path for him.” The voice of one calling in the wilderness, but what about some of the voices that do not get recognized?
Such as the voice of this little captive maid that was captured by the Syrian Army and held captive to serve the wife of Naaman?
THE LITTLE VOICE THAT CHANGES THE WORLD…
See here the voice of this maid who served Naaman’s wife, why should she care?
She was a captive!
See now how such a small voice impacted the lives of many.
Naaman was a Syrian Captain that was a great warrior, but he had Leprosy! Naaman was a Leper and was always hoping for a cure! And now comes the voice of one little maid crying in his wilderness! Her little voice caused this mighty warrior to seek God for his healing! And Naaman would be healed and go forth to tell all of Syria that,
“There is no god in all the earth, save the God of Israel!” As we read,
“And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.” 2Kings 5:15
All of this because that one little women who was held captive and slave to serve the wife of the man that captured her, spoke up to her mistress and told her about God’s servant Elisha the prophet of Israel!
