TO ABBIE: HI ABBIE, WHEN WE ARE FEELING DOWN OR DEPRESSED YOUR QUESTION OF WHAT TO DO IS NOT ONE THAT FEW PEOPLE WILL HAVE, ACTUALLY A LOT MORE PEOPLE THAT WE REALIZE GO THROUGH THESE TIMES, BUT HOW WE SHOULD HANDLE THEM IS SELDOM LOOKED AT AS A FORM OF HOLINESS OR GODLINESS. INSTEAD IT IS MORE COMMON THAT OTHERS WILL THINK THAT ANYONE THAT IS FEELING DOWN OR DEPRESSED MUST HAVE SIN IN THEIR LIFE AND IS THEREFORE NOT AS GODLY AS THEY OUGHT TO BE, THIS IS WRONG. WE CAN AND WILL HAVE DEPRESSION AS A CHRISTIAN, WHAT MAKES IT EASIER IS HOW WE HANDLE IT, THAT WE SHOULD HANDLE IT BY FAITH AND IN KNOWING THAT JESUS IS WITH US ALWAYS!
“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” Isaiah 43:2
“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.” Isaiah 61:3
